Gardeners' World
The longest-running gardening show on television, Gardeners' World has been on the air since 1969, and has been hosted by horticultural greats such as Alan Titchmarsh, Percy Thrower, Toby Buckland and Monty Don.
The show offers viewers sage advice on all aspects of managing their garden, as they tend the Gardeners' World garden, showing its development throughout the seasons.
Though originally filmed in presenters' own gardens, the show is now filmed in Egbaston, Birmingham. Named Greenacre, the garden gives the experts plenty of greenery to play with, trying out different botanical features.
The format of the show has changed quite a few times over the years, but 2010 saw a return to its old 30-minute length and some of the traditional features - for example 'Jobs for the weekend' - were reintroduced.
As well as Gardeners' World specials, the programme has inspired the Gardeners' World Live exhibition and a magazine.
