UK celebrity hotspots revealed

Parents looking to raise the next top celebrity should avoid a move to East Anglia and plump for London instead, according to research from FindaProperty.com.
Unsurprisingly the capital is the top location in the UK for rearing a new global superstar, with an 80 per cent greater chance of finding fame for the city's residents.
East Anglia comes out bottom, with only 3.8 per cent of UK celebrities originating from the East of England, despite nine per cent of the population living there.
It is also a particularly poor showing for Northern Ireland and the South West, while the North West, Wales and Scotland join London in the top four.
The research also showed that certain areas produce drastically different types of celebrities. For instance, Bury in Greater Manchester has seen a procession of actors starring in soaps such as Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale.
On the other hand Hammersmith in London has produced a number of high profile film stars across numerous generations, including Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman and more recently Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.
Perhaps more out of left field Stevenage produced numerous sports stars, including footballers Ashley Young and Jack Wilshere, golfer Ian Poulter and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
Predictably Manchester is a hotbed for musical talent, with legendary bands such as The Smiths, Oasis, The Stone Roses and Joy Division all hailing from there.
North London is more of a centre for recent chart music though, counting Adele, Eliza Doolittle and X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos as its own. Two former X Factor winners, Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke are from Islington in North London.
Samantha Baden, property analyst at FindaProperty.com, said: "While it may seem fanciful to say that being brought-up in a particular town or village could affect your future career, the reality is that the education, physical environment and leisure facilities in an area have a huge impact on what people do and learn, particularly children and young people.
"Excellent sporting facilities in a town will breed success and create role models that other children look up to and hope to emulate, and some of those role models will go on to achieve national, and even international, success.
"That’s what we think we are seeing here and why certain areas in the UK appear to be hotspots for musical, acting and sporting talent."
