One in four children forced to share a bedroom

Almost a quarter of children living in British homes are forced to share a bedroom, according to new figures from Findaproperty.com.
The property website found that the 24 per cent figure rose to 38 per cent for younger families and 35 per cent for those living in London.
Meanwhile 29 per cent of parents think their current home is too small to accommodate the size of their family and that figure rises to 40 per cent for younger parents aged 18 to 34.
The study linked to a new TV advertising campaign for the website also suggests that just under a million people in the UK are expecting to become parents in the next few months and 14 per cent of them are living in homes too small to accommodate the baby.
Samantha Baden, property analyst at FindaProperty.com commented: "With the average cost of a three bedroom home in the UK now in the region of £193,000, affordability remains a key issue for families.
"Very few families can afford to buy or rent a property that meets their exact size and location requirements, and as a result, they are often forced to compromise on one or the other."
