Rightmove first-time buyer infographic

Last week Rightmove revealed that they expect less than a quarter of all buyers in 2012 to be first-time buyers, down from 26 per cent in 2011 and 40 per cent before the credit crunch.
The average age of these first-time buyers is likely to be 32 and more than half of those planning to buy for the first time expect to put down a deposit of over £20,000.
First-time buyer figures are expected to be way below the considered "healthy" target, with negative effects for the property market as a whole.
