Labour appoint new shadow housing minister

Jack Dromey is to be Labour's new shadow housing minister, taking the place of Alison Seabeck.
The change comes in a shake-up of Labour's Communities and Local Government team under the newly promoted shadow secretary of state Hilary Benn.
The previous shadow housing minister Alison Seabeck will move to the Ministry of Defence.
Jack Dromey, who only entered parliament in 2010, expressed his delight at the decision by party leader Ed Miliband to promote him into a shadow ministerial position.
He said: "We will be holding the government to account over its abject failure to tackle the growing housing crisis, with collapsing house building the direct consequence of its failed economic and planning policies.
"I look forward, together with Ed and Hilary Benn, to setting out Labour's housing vision for the future, a decent home for all at a price everyone can afford."
It was announced last week that Hilary Benn would be replacing Caroline Flint, who has moved to the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
