The last barn conversion in Richmondshire?

UK property developers are being given the chance to convert a Yorkshire barn – which could be one of a dying breed.
According to property services specialist George F White, the structure is "most probably one of the last remaining traditional barns available for conversion in Richmondshire".
Planning permission is already in place to turn the property into a four-bedroom home, with the stone building itself currently available for £260,000.
The barn is part of East Farm, located close to the village of Patrick Brompton and well connected with the north-east.
It is also within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is part of Wensleydale, which is bound to please Wallace and Gromit fans and cheese lovers alike.
George F White spokesman Sam Johnson said: "The property is a traditional, L-shaped, stone-built barn and, when finished, its new owners will have over 3,000 square feet of living space with panoramic views over one of the most beautiful areas of Wensleydale towards Penn Hill."
He added that this is a "unique opportunity" as almost all of the area's comparable properties have been bought and converted already.
The benefits of barn conversions are numerous, according to the real estate dealer, as they allow for a perfect combination of the old and the new.
For the eco-conscious and the nostalgic, there is the chance to reuse existing materials such as reclaimed timber. Meanwhile, a modern and functional twist can be added through the use of stainless steel kitchens and large plate-glass windows.
With planning permission already in place on the barn, but the project itself not yet underway, this property in particular is described as being "as rare as hens' teeth".
That is because so few planning processes on this kind of home reach full approval without the work itself then being carried out.
