Dragons' Den's Peter Jones lowers asking price

He's best-known for declaring himself "out", and that's precisely what entrepreneur and Dragons' Den star Peter Jones is attempting when it comes to his home in Buckinghamshire.
The luxurious Beaconsfield property has been on the market for around a month now and Peter Jones has recently dropped the asking price from £3.25 million to £3.1 million - not bad given that it's on Furzefield Road, which falls within the town's "Golden Triangle". (Beaconsfield has some of the highest house prices in the country, so to be in its Golden Triangle is something of a boon when it comes to home ownership.)

Jones, whose rumoured worth is £90 million, hasn't commented on why the house is for sale, although it isn't his only home. Apparently, the Dragon stays in Bucks during the week in order to be close to his latest business venture, Marlow-based Phones International, but he retreats to a 150-acre Surrey estate at the weekend and also has two holiday homes in Portugal's Algarve.
So, what's the property itself like? Mountbatten House has six bedrooms and is kitted out with top-class fittings - including Villeroy & Boche sanitaryware and Clive Christian furniture - and has a pool table, enormous American-style fridge-freezer and triple garage.

Built by Cathedral Homes in 2002, the property's first owner paid £850,000 for it before selling it on to Peter Jones in 2004 for £2.67 million.
Although Jones has just reduced the asking price, if he sells it for £3.1 million, he'll still have made a tidy £430,000.
