Country House Rescue's Pentillie Castle has reopened after 27 years of closure.
The house, in Cornwall, has already seen 4,000 visitors on public open days, and with the renovations complete the Castle is now ready for hire, with a luxury Bed and Breakfast opening in the summer.
The main house is Georgian, and has been refurbished to include nine double bedrooms with views over the Tamar river. The house offers self-catering and professional kitchens, as well as the gardens, designed by Repton, featuring rhododendron, lime trees and a bathing house.
The estate is owned by the Coryton family, and stands in the Tamar Valley, in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty'.
Sammie Coryton is the daughter of the Coryton family. She said: "It's been a great privilege to be able to share such a special and extraordinary place with other people.
"To say that the renovation project and getting ready for business has been daunting is a bit of an understatement! Every day we have another 20 ideas of what we can offer at Pentillie - weddings, house parties, honeymoon boat trips from the quay, luxury conferences or art courses, yoga retreats - the possibilities are endless, but it is suddenly nearly finished and really exciting times for us all.
"People have commented on Pentillie's similarity to the Lost Garden's of Heligan at the beginning. I suppose because the gardens have been tended by only a skeleton staff for so long, much has become hidden and rather magical. While the gardens are not as extensive as Heligan, we are spoilt to have such splendid views over the River Tamar."
