New homes in the north-west
Manchester has one of the fastest growing property markets in the UK, second only to London, with prices set to rise further in the coming years. The north-west as a whole – including Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside - maintains relatively low prices however, with the average property in the region costing just over £160,000 according to the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML). However, the region is home to the natural wonders of the Peak District, including the tallest mountain in the England, Scarfell Pike, and the sprawling cities of Liverpool and Manchester.
