Room for Improvement

Room for Improvement shows viewers how to improve their homes for themselves, rather than redecorating and renovating with a view to sell the property on.

Design journalist Angus Purden and Dave Wellman, a builder with more than two decades' building experience, visit a different home in each episode, helping families and friends improve upon existing rooms.

Improvements in the past included one couple who had £25,000 to transform their loft into a cinema and playroom.

Not all projects are so grand though, with some just budgeting for £2,000 to make the changes to their home.

Angus and Dave have plenty of ideas on how to spruce up a house, as well as the best way to make it bigger and get the optimal use out of its size.
