Gardeners' World: Alan Titchmarsh
The longest-running gardening show on television, Gardeners' World has been on the air since 1969, and has been hosted by horticultural greats such as Alan Titchmarsh, Percy Thrower and most recently, Monty Don.

The show offers viewers sage advice on all aspects of managing their garden, as they tend the Gardeners' World garden, showing its development throughout the seasons.

The new format marks a change from the days of Alan Titchmarsh and Geoff Hamilton, when the series would be filmed entirely in the presenter's own garden.

Now based in Berryfields in the Midlands, the two acre garden gives the experts plenty of greenery to play with, trying out different botanical features.

The presenters of 2006, Monty Don, the Flying Gardener Chris Beardshaw and new addition, Rachel de Thame, offer expert advice and new ideas for viewers to explore in their own gardens.

There are also Gardeners' World specials, which see Monty Don exploring the world of allotments, while Chris Beardshaw examines how design ideas from Britain's historical gardens can be used by domestic gardeners.
