March is a busy month for property exhibitions, not least because the year's largest exhibition - the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show - gets underway. Other shows include The Smart Home Show, focusing on the latest gadgets for homes, and the all-encompassing Homebuyer Show.

National Homebuilding & Renovating show
March 2nd - March 5th 2006, NEC Birmingham

As its name suggestions, this show is for those who intend or aspire to build their own home. The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show will showcase new products and materials, as well as provide expert advice on how you can build your dream home.

There will be over 400 exhibitors at the show, which includes free daily seminars on all aspects of self-build and renovation. The Federation of Master Builders, Association of Self Builders, Associated Self-build Architects and the Homebuilding & Renovating magazine will be among the experts on hand.

Those in the process of building or carrying out renovations on a house can bring along copies of their plans to make the most of their visit.

The Smart Home Show

Running alongside the National Homebuilding & Renovating show, the Smart Home Show will showcase the latest technology in four key areas: home entertainment; intelligent heating and lighting; networking and communications; and security.

Exhibitors will be displaying home cinema, multi-room entertainment, intelligent appliances, telecoms and wireless communications, integrated touch control systems and remote access monitoring and security systems.

Free seminars offering helpful advice will be run six times per day.

The Daily Mail Ideal Home Show
March 8th - April 2nd 2006, Earls Court, London

The theme for this most famous of property exhibitions in 2006 is 'Recycling in the Home'. The four-week long exhibition will cover all elements of recycling in the home, including top tips from interior designer Oliver Heath on 'going green' and advice from Penny Poyzer of No Waste Like Home fame on making the most from your household waste.

Property expert Sarah Beeny and design consultant Naomi Cleaver will also be offering advice on their respective fields.

As ever, the show will feature two spectacular show homes, while the central feature will be a 16-metre high waterfall in an authentic rainfall setting featuring a host of exotic plantation, jungle hideaways and a tree house styled by Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan from How Not to Decorate.

Homes Overseas Magazine Exhibition
March 10th - March 12th, Olympia National Hall, London

Homebuyer Show
