Vera Wang buys glass-walled California property

Vera Wang has bought an ultra-modern new home in California.
The famous wedding dress designer and her husband Arthur Becker bought the four-bedroom, four-bathroom Beverley Hills property for $9.2 million (£5.58 million).
Described by the ever-brilliant Real Estalker blog as a "boxy, low-slung sprawler", the glassy pad was recently renovated by Steve Hermann, a well-known Los Angeles 'flipper' who has sold to pop star Christina Aguilera and True Grit's Megan Ellison in the past.
According to the Real Estalker, Hermann bought the property for $5 million (£3.03 million) in 2008 and spent $3 million (£1.82 million) making it Wang-worthy.
So, what does the world's most sought-after wedding dress designer consider suitable for her dwelling needs?
The single-storey house is H-shaped and, judging from the photos, uber-minimalistic. In fact it looks rather like a slightly anonymous hotel. The outdoor infinity pool looks rather splendid though.
Water features, wall-to-ceiling glass and white terrazzo floors give the property a very zen-like vibe, and apparently there are jaw-dropping city views.
The Real Estalker reveals that there's a "simple fire box set into an entire wall of horizontally striated stone slabs" and 30-seater cinema, and Wang can put her cookery skills to the test in the high-spec "Euro-style" kitchen.
Hermann put the house on the market for $10.9 million (£6.61 million) in March, but Wang and Becker's property purveyor Stephen Shapiro negotiated 16 per cent off the asking price.
