Foreign property investments in 2010 are likely to be 'safe bet' options for Brits, according to one industry expert.

Houses in these countries have seen massive price falls and there is value to be had, he commented.
"These are countries already popular with Brits looking to purchase that second home abroad so it is only increasing the attractiveness," he added.
However, those looking to buy property in a newer market are advised to pay attention to tourism trends and recognise where the most likely capital growth is set to take place, with Mr Chadd suggesting the Caribbean island of Grenada.
A Place in the Sun predicted that Spain will be the best destination for foreign property investment this year, followed by Florida, France, Portugal and Turkey.
