CLG: 7.7% rise in house prices in Scotland

House prices in Scotland were up 7.7 per cent in the 12 months since April 2007, the largest growth in the UK's regions.

That is according to new figures from the Communities and Local Government (CLG) out today.

This is 2.8 percentage points above the UK average of 4.9 per cent.

The survey finds the average house price in Scotland in April was £165,994.
