Rightmove: Welsh asking prices in August

Asking prices for properties in Wales were down 1.7 per cent from July to August, according to a new survey by online estate agent Rightmove.

This is the fifth smallest fall of all regions of England and Wales.

Annual growth for Wales is now -5.9 per cent, 0.9 percentage points above the England and Wales average of -4.8 per cent.

The survey finds the average asking price in Wales is now £177,023.
