Rightmove: Asking prices in the West Midlands in July

Asking prices for properties in the West Midlands were down 3.7 per cent from June to July, according to research out today from online estate agent Rightmove.

This is the largest fall of all regions of England and Wales.

Annual growth for the West Midlands is now -4.8 per cent.

This is 2.8 percentage points above the England and Wales annual average of minus two per cent.

The survey finds the average asking price in the West Midlands is now £192,017.
