Land Registry: House prices in the south-west in July

House prices in the south-west were down 0.5 per cent in July, the smallest fall in England and Wales, according to new figures from the Land Registry out today.

Annual house price inflation for the region was -3.4 per cent in July. This is 1.4 percentage points below the England and Wales average of -2 per cent.

The survey finds the average house price in the south-west was £188,186.
