Rightmove: Asking prices in the north-west in July

Asking prices for properties in the north-west were down 0.8 per cent from June to July, according to research out today from online estate agent Rightmove.

This is the second smallest fall of all regions of England and Wales.

Annual growth for the north-west is now -2.6 per cent.

This is 0.6 percentage points below the England and Wales annual average of minus two per cent.

The survey finds the average asking price in the north-west is now £175,757.
