Land Registry: House prices in the East in July

House prices in the East were down 1.1 per cent in July, the fourth smallest fall in England and Wales, according to new figures from the Land Registry out today.
Annual house price inflation for the region was 2.9 per cent in July. This is 0.9 percentage points below the England and Wales average of -2 per cent.
The survey finds the average house price in the East was £185,962.
