Eco features are a top priority for buyers looking for a property, a new survey reveals.
A survey by FindaNewHome.com finds buyers put environmentally friendly features ahead of period features and neutral décor.
Additionally, 96 per cent of buyers said they would install solar panels if money was not a consideration, and 43 per cent would install a wind turbine.
"Our research found that the public are willing to embrace environmentally friendly measures in their homes," commented Mike O'Flynn of FindaNewHome.
"As homeowners become increasingly conscious about the environment, we could see the more eco-friendly new build developments taking over period properties in the popularity stakes."
