Lorne Spicer of Cash in the Attic is asking whether the onset of home information packs (Hips) later this year could see homeowners better off.

Energy Performance Certificates, a compulsory part of the new Hip due to be phased in from August 1st, will give your home an energy rating similar to those already on fridges and washing machines.

The BBC presenter has top tips on how converting your loft could see you get a higher rating on your Energy Performance Certificate, potentially making it more attractive to buyers.
