Lexden Terrace, south-west Wales
Independent property finder County Home Company (CHC) has identified six postcodes in the UK which it views as "immune" from price drops.
While sections of the UK property market have been undergoing a moderation in average prices in recent months, the independent body has found certain properties are proving to be as popular as ever.
The owners of properties in these areas will never have to compromise on price and will always preserve a competitive edge when it comes to selling, according to CHC.
"Streets that can offer something extra, such as houses with distinguishing features or an excellent location will always have people wanting to live there, making them largely resilient to any dips in the market," said Jonathan Haward, managing director of CHC.
"Being located in a picturesque village, being close to reputable schools or near local amenities are all factors that influence buyers.
"If a street can meet all of these criteria then the properties which line it are likely to remain highly sought after."
The six UK golden postcodes:
Castle Street, Bakewell DE45
"Castle Street’s popularity is fuelled by its idyllic setting and beautiful Georgian townhouses," explains Trina Wright, local director, CHC Derbyshire.
"Situated in Bakewell - which is set in the picturesque Derbyshire countryside - these large, well-proportioned homes, which line the street, retain many of their original features and remain in high demand, rarely changing hands."
Ann Street, Edinburgh, EH4 1PJ
One of Edinburgh’s most famous and attractive streets lined with graceful Georgian townhouses.
Beeston Fields Drive, Nottingham, NG9 3DB
A range of beautiful, exclusive homes combined with quick and easy access into the city.
Lexden Terrace, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, SA70 7BJ
"Lexden Terrace is a handsome stucco terrace, described by CADW (the historic environment service of the Welsh Assembly), as the finest terrace in Tenby," said Carol Peett, local director, CHC west Wales.
"The terrace is in an excellent setting, located near to the harbour and in a cliff top position, overlooking the south beach and St Catherine’s Island, with glorious views towards Caldey Island and the Devon coast."
St Georges Hill Estate, Weybridge, KT13 0NL
A non-gated, private road in Weybridge – also in the catchment area for some of the town’s top schools.
Rotherfield Road, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 1NR
The best of both worlds – the feel of living in the country combined with easy access to the picturesque town.
