A new online television station has been launched for professionals in the property industry.
Property Professionals TV (PPTV) was developed by the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), with the aim of bringing up-to-date information and news to those in the market.
"It is crucial today's property market consumer receives clear, professional advice from an unbiased source," said NAEA chief executive, Peter Bolton King.
"Our members have been providing that service to their customers for years, but new technology has enabled us to offer even higher standards for people using one of our members."
It is hoped the new service will raise awareness of issues arising in the industry.
"As an association, we have been using PPTV for some months now as a means of updating our members with key information, property news, advice and training. It has been well received and more recently even imitated by commercial organisations," continued Mr King.
"While principally aimed at improving communication with our members, we have also seen a tremendous opportunity for other uses and are now actively investigating trialling a new channel specifically for consumers, which can be delivered from selected members own websites."
The new service is also good for the environment.
"A welcome bonus is that in using this new technology we have even been able to reduce our carbon footprint when communicating with members by cutting back on travelling, printing and postage," Mr King concluded ridiculously.
