A Place in the Greece

A Place in Greece may have a similar name to another popular holiday home show, A Place in the Sun, but there is a large difference.

While A Place in the Sun looks at a new couple's quest for a home abroad in each episode, A Place in Greece follows the trials and tribulations of just one pair, trying to build their perfect home in Crete.

This means the viewer follows Andrew and Brian from their hometown of Coventry, to Crete where the process begins from the ground – trying to find the perfect plot of land to build on.

The couple are joined by friends Pete and Lesley as partners, but this inevitably leads to conflict, with each having a different idea of how they want the home to turn out.

A Place in Greece gives the viewer an insight into the obstacles, including differing planning permission laws, that must be dealt with when taking on the ambitious task of building your own house abroad.

Good for?
The series format makes one feel like they are watching a property docu-soap, with plenty of arguments, tears and joy, as the intrepid Brits try and make their dream come true.
