Seetha Hallett, A Place by the Sea
A Place by the Sea explodes the myth that a seaside home in the UK is beyond most people's grasp, as Seetha Hallett goes on a mission to find the hidden gems of the British coast.
Seetha meets up with househunters keen to bag a holiday home or a house by the sea and takes them around some promising properties up and down the coast.
Drawing on local history on the way, viewers and the show's guests are given an insight into what certain areas have to offer, and what needs to be looked out for during the hunt for the perfect pad on the promenade.
Seaside houseseekers can be seen taking time out from the quest, learning to cook at Rick Stein's cooking school in Cornwall, chatting with Patrick Moore and helping the RNLI launch a lifeboat, providing a rounded view of a region's property and lifestyle.
Among the places Seetha visits on
A Place by the Sea are Brighton, Penzance, Weston Super Mare, West Wales, Essex, County Cork, Kent and the east of Scotland.
