The Chelsea Flower Show is undoubtedly the highlight of May's property exhibitions and the year's foremost gardening show. It returns in 2006 with a whole host of exciting new show gardens, offering inspiration to gardeners across the world.

Homebuilding & Renovating show Scotland

The Scottish incarnation of the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show is intended for those Scots who aspire to build their own home.
There will be over 150 exhibitors at the show, making it a good place to get in touch with Scotland's self-build experts and for getting advice on your self-build plans.

BBC Good Homes Live It!
May 18th – May 21st 2006, NEC, Birmingham
The BBC Good Homes Live It! show intends to celebrate all aspects of life in the home and garden. Taking over from the BBC Good Homes Show, it will have six new zones covering interiors, shopping, property, homewares, home improvements and renovation and the '5th Room' which focuses on outdoor living, summer houses and conservatories.
The stage will provide decorating, property investment, shopping and design advice, while an interior design consultation studio will offer seminars and one-to-one consultations from experts.
Twenty-four stunning room sets will provide inspiration, and a section on Spanish living will offer a taste of the Costa del Sol and provide a styled and fully furnished Mediterranean apartment for viewing.

The French Property Exhibition

The French Property Exhibition is for people seeking a permanent residence in France, a holiday home, or a buy-to-let investment property.
Organised by French Property News, exhibitors will include estate agents, builders and developers, architects and surveyors, along with legal and financial professionals.

The Chelsea Flower Show
May 23rd – May 27th, Royal Hospital, Chelsea
The Chelsea Flower Show is the biggest event in the gardening calendar, taking over the grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, for five days each May.
The show gardens always attract the most attention and 2006 promises to be no different, with designs from Jinny Blom, the
Flying Gardener Chris Beardshaw, Andy Sturgeon and Tom Stuart Smith all set to feature.
The
100% Pure New Zealand Garden will be returning with a design inspired by the west coast of Auckland, the
Laurent Perrier Garden will be a romantic contemporary French themed garden, while
The Jurassic Coast Garden, designed by Nick Williams-Ellis will aim to raise awareness of England's first world heritage site – the dramatic Jurassic Coast.
Meanwhile, the centre piece of the Chelsea Flower Show - the Grand Pavilion – will this year showcase more than 100 displays featuring thousands of plants from across the world.
