Furniture giant MFI re-launches online

MFI is back. Closed in 2008 amid gloomy economic news, the furniture company is returning in a new online only format.
This means no new MFI out of town superstores, but it does mean the return of the famous MFI sale.
They are kicking off with 60 per cent off before the 12th December. We've got a sneaky suspicion that there might be a bit of post Christmas discounting too.
MFI was once the UK's biggest furniture retailer, with their value peaking at £1bn.
However following the company's high profile collapse in 2008 it has been salvaged by Walker Capital for £250,000, who bought it from the administrators.
The plan now is to compete with the likes of IKEA, B&Q and Homebase by offering MFI's collections purely online.
That's probably enough of an MFI history lesson. What you really want to see is what new interiors they're offering, right?
To start with they will have 24 living room collections, 22 dining, 36 bedroom, nine bathroom sets and nine home office collections.
