Amateur interior design competition launches
Thursday, 17 February 2011 5:17 PM
TV presenter Linda Barker, one of this year's Ideal Home Show ambassadors, is on the hunt for the nation's best amateur interior designer.
If your home is your castle and you've poured your heart and soul into placing it on a par with the properties featured in glossy magazines, this is the competition for you.
There are three entrance categories: Ideal Interior, in which you simply have to send photos of your favourite self-designed space; Most Transformed (before and after pictures essential!); and Ideal Fantasy Home - for those who haven't yet realised their dreams. Moodboards, drawings and CGIs are all acceptable entry formats for the latter category.
The best entries will be posted on an Ideal Home Show picture wall, from which Linda Barker will choose a 30-strong shortlist. Everyone shortlisted will be invited to the prize-giving ceremony on March 25, and winners stand to receive vouchers from Belle Interiors and a piece of furniture from Aflair.
