Small Town Gardens

Small Town Gardens
If you are stuck with a tiny garden but have grand ideas for it, then Small Town Gardens could be the programme for you.

Each week top contemporary landscape designers transform a small piece of land into a garden that feels roomier and is visually eye-catching.

The designers offer up tips for transforming a tiny garden, including choosing a central theme that will make everything cohese and knit together.

An example of this was Juliet Mckelvey and Judith Wise's Moroccan garden, where sunken seats and mosaic tiling throughout changed a previously grey patch into focussed, Moroccan hideaway.

Another interesting design was Annie Guilfoyle's sculpture garden, which included staggered wire mesh screens, which gave the illusion of greater space and an indefinite boundary. She also created a focal point in the garden with a stainless steel allium sculpture in the centre, and copper water-feature in the corner, creating a pervading modern feel.

Good for?
If you have a small garden, it is essential for picking up tips on making it look bigger and help it reach what previously might have been limited potential.
