The City Gardener

City Gardener
The City Gardener is a regular urban hero for members of the public whose gardens are nothing but a problematic bug-bear.

Matt James travels around the built up areas of the country, remedying the botanical problems encountered by people whose gardens just are not up to scratch.

The City Gardener offers tips and tricks to make the most of gardens that are not ideally shaped, hidden from the sun or need more privacy.

In the past he has been called in to remedy a short and fat garden in Hastings, which is also sheltered from the sun and hemmed in by a hill – but still the garden's owners want it to be turned into a space for work, eating and relaxing.

But on other occasions, Matt has been confronted by sprawling gardens to transform, such as the one, replete with air raid shelter in Leicester, which he transformed into a Zen-like haven of calm.

The range of gardens The City Gardener tackles means there is always something to apply to your own patch of soil and grass.
