How to Rescue a House

How to Rescue a House
Eight students are taken under the green-feathered wing of garden expert and housewife's favourite Diarmuid Gavin to learn the tricks of garden design at Garden School.

All the participants have horticultural backgrounds, and sign up to let Diarmuid build on their strengths and help them pass with flying colours.

Gavin's task is to turn them from passionate amateur gardeners into professional garden designers in only five months, so the pressure is on to perform.

Many of the Garden School's alumni have gone on to have exhibits featured at flower shows, and have set up their own garden design companies.

For example, Lee Bestall has launched Lee Bestall Garden Designs and opened show gardens at the Tatton Flower show, as has David Keegan, another tutee of Diarmuid.
