Build, Buy or Restore: Michael Holmes
Build, Buy or Restore: Michael Holmes

Build, Buy or Restore examines the different options a house-hunter should consider when investing in a new home.

Each show sees presenter and house building expert Michael Holmes meet members of the public, and give them the choice of either building a new home, buying one or restoring a dilapidated property.

Holmes meets couples with varying budgets available to splash out on a new home, with cash ranging from £140,000 to £800,000.

It is Holmes' job to show them how their money can best be used, with many being surprised by how much further it can go than they originally thought - one Derbyshire couple cannot believe how much they can do with £250,000, when it comes to building from scratch or renovating a barn.

Holmes has the credentials to offer tips on canny house-hunting, having also headed up shows such as Hot Property and Trading Up.
