Why towel radiators are an important bathroom addition

If you've recently redecorated your bathroom, you could find that towel radiators offer the ideal finishing touch. These practical products also come in a range of different designs, meaning you are sure to find something perfect for the space you have available.
Often known as the smallest room in the house, the bathroom may not have enough space for traditional radiators, which can look bulky. Indeed, if every part of your bathroom suite is fitted close to each other, there may be no room at all for this type of heating solution.
The beauty of heated towel racks is that not only are they smaller and more slimline than a radiator, but they also help to warm the room and give you somewhere to dry your damp towels.
As a result, these items are practical and should certainly be included when you come to renovate your bathroom.
Indeed, you can get some types that are so compact it is possible to fit them on the wall at the end of your bath, opposite the shower and taps. Doing this will ensure your towels are always close at hand and that you use up as little wall space as possible.
Once upon a time, most towel rails looked the same, consisting of simple stainless steel pipes, which could be heated up via either central heating or electricity but had a similar appearance.
Today, this could not be further from the case. While there are still traditional designs out there, you can also use historically-inspired racks that might look perfect in a period property.
In addition, you can choose ones that curve over, providing two sets of rails to hang towels on and those with different sized spaces so you can fit a selection of sizes of linen on them.
As well as these traditional towel rails, there are also numerous contemporary designs that will look right at home in a modern bathroom.
Indeed, while you may prefer this item to blend into the background, if space is really at a premium you could choose one that looks more daring, so as to use it as a decorative focal point that also serves a practical purpose.
You can select towel racks with just a few bars that you could hang your dressing gown on the end of, and those that feature concentric cubes and look more like art than a heater.
If you have a larger bathroom, you may find it wise to invest in both a heated towel rail and a radiator. The latter will be able to heat up a big space quickly, while you can reserve the rail purely for warming up your towels so you are cosy and warm when you wrap up following a bath or shower.
While these items may be something people often overlook, they can have long-term benefits for your home. For instance, it is important to maintain the temperature of your bathroom as much as possible in order to avoid mould. By having a hot shower that creates a lot of steam in a room that is otherwise cold, the particles will swiftly turn to liquid and cling to the walls.
However, heating the room with a radiator or towel rail will help keep it at a more similar temperature to the water, so that when you have finished all you have to do is open the window and the steam can escape before turning to liquid.
